Brand Ambassador of the Month, Lulu__Make!

We are excited to feature our August Brand Ambassador of the Month @lulu__make! Lucia gives us a look into inspiring art combined with sensory activities that are both always educational and fun. Her projects are always so creative and guaranteed to spark inspiration in everyone!

Q: Tell us a little about yourself! What is the inspiration behind your Instagram page?

My name is Lucia and I was born and raised in Slovakia. I am a content creator, Art educator, and a mama of Luca (4years) and Anna (2 years). I started my IG page when Luca was 18 months old to document my efforts to increase his attention span, (he was not able to sit still or focus on any activity). By creating a craft a day for my son, I was able to “crack” the code and unleash his creativity. When the pandemic hit in 2020, ART kept my sanity alive. Being trapped in a one bedroom apartment with two kids was hard. Yet creating kept me and Luca happy. ‘Being Creative is being Alive” is my motto.

Q: It has been so amazing seeing your creativity and having your projects be such a source of inspiration! What made you want to become a Brand Ambassador for The Pencil Grip?

I have always adored your products. The design, the color schemes, the thought behind each product and most importantly the affordability made me want to invest in your products. As a craft enthusiast and educator you alway seek the new cool thing around the block. You want to see the rich and bold colors and if they can cover a cardboard box, that’s even better! You don’t look back! Similarly, when a child cannot stop painting and creating you know that you got the right product. Also, your products can withstand the power of a toddler, in other words, your products last for many months! They are built to last!

Q: What is your favorite product of ours that you have tried? We would love to hear more about why you love this product, and if you have any tips or tricks when using it? Is there anything in particular that has helped in your homeschooling experience?

We absolutely adore WONDER stix! These are the only products that cover cardboard well, and the colors are stunning. I myself cannot stop creating with these! We also use them on Magna-Tiles, the paint comes off with a wet wipe! And do you know what’s the best part of Wonder Stix? You can create amazing art on your windows or glass door! For example, we did not have any Xmas decorations on our door yet we used Wonder Stix to create a colorful Xmas tree and it was a team effort, even little Anna was able to color with us! The end result was stunning and unique. Wonder Stix have been great to encourage the creativity of my kids, and the best part is the huge canvas they can create on! Our long windows are filled with drawings, letters and shapes. Don’t fear the mess- because there is none! Simple wipe off and you can start again!

Q: What is one of your favorite projects you have created using our products? There are so many amazing ones you have posted, and we want to know which creation stands out to you!

I think my latest creation: “Let’s Cut Lion’s Mane” We used Solid Tempera Paint Kwik Stix and the colors are so bold and creamy at the same time. I designed and created the face of the lion and kiddos painted the mane. It was a family project! Once the lion was created, I asked my youngest to help me to trim the mane! It was a hit, she would not stop cutting it! I call this type of craft: Functional Art.

Q: What’s next for you? Do you have plans for summer activities or projects we can look forward to or anything in the works for the school year 2021?

Great question! I am planning to expand to YouTube and create tutorials for children- simple, fun, and accessible! Also, I would like to create more Functional Art projects for parents so they can create with their little ones and work on fine motor skills.
