Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, canvas, washi tape, scissors, and gold star stickers

  1. Place washi tape where you'd like to paint straight lines and edges
  2. Paint over the tape and onto the canvas
  3. Peel off tape
  4. Stick gold star stickers onto the top left corner
  5. Display for Flag Day!

Popsicle Stick Flag

Materials Needed: popsicle sticks, Kwik Stix, construction paper, scissors, glue, white paint, and cotton swabs

  1. Paint two popsicle sticks with red Kwik Stix
  2. Paint two popsicle sticks with white Kwik Stix
  3. Hold an unpainted popsicle stick vertically
  4. Glue each painted popsicle stick to horizontal to the unpainted stick
  5. Cut a small square out of a piece of blue construction paper
  6. Glue the piece of construction paper onto the top left corner of the popsicle sticks
  7. Dip the end of a cotton swab into white paint
  8. Press the end of the painted cotton swab onto the blue construction paper
  9. Repeat steps 7 & 8 until the blue construction paper is speckled with white dots
  10. Display for Flag Day!

Painted Flag

Materials Needed: white paper and Kwik Stix
  1. Lay a piece of white paper flat onto a table
  2. Paint a blue square on the top left corner using Kwik Stix
  3. Paint stripes in red going from left to right surrounding the blue square
  4. Use a white Kwik Stix to paint small stars onto the blue square

Flag Day Hearts and Hands

Materials Needed: white paper, red paper, blue paper, scissors, glue, and wooden stars
  1. Cut white paper into heart shapes
  2. Cut red paper into strips
  3. Cut a half circle shape out of blue construction paper
  4. Glue the blue construction paper and red strips onto the heart
  5. Glue wooden stars onto the blue area
  6. Paint your hand with red white and blue using Kwik Stix
  7. Stamp your hand down onto the paper
  8. Use Kwik Stix to add any details or go over colors to make them more vibrant
  9. Display your flag hearts along with your handprint for Flag Day!

  1. Use tape and stick onto a window or glass door 
  2. Stick on to map out the shape of a flag
  3. Paint in between the tape and the window with Kwik Stix
  4. Peel tape off of the window
