Penguin Cups

Materials Needed: paper cups, googly eyes, Kwik Stix, glue, rhinestones, and orange heart cut outs

  1. Flip each cup upside down
  2. Paint each cup with Kwik Stix
  3. Glue on googly eyes
  4. Glue on rhinestones or gems as the nose
  5. Glue orange heart cut outs to the bottom of the cup 
  6. Try stacking for a fun, winter game

Winter Hats

Materials Needed: paper, scissors, Kwik Stix, and Magic Stix

  1. Draw a hat outline onto the paper
  2. Color the inside of the winter hat with Kwik Stix and Magic Stix
  3. Cut along the outline
  4. Hang up in your classroom or at home for a winter decoration

Window Snowflakes

Materials Needed: paper, transparency sheets, Kwik Stix, scissors, and glue
  1. Paint a transparency sheet with different colored Kwik Stix
  2. Fold a piece of paper diagonal
  3. Cut off the remainder piece of paper after folded
  4. Use a scissor to cut triangle shapes out of the paper
  5. Open the folded piece of paper
  6. Glue onto the painted transparency sheets
  7. Tape onto a window or glass door

  1. Start by drawing your tree with a Sharpie
  2. Add backgrounds and shadows with Wonder Stix

  4. Tap the brush lightly to splatter paint onto paper

Winter Ornaments

Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, a pencil, cardboard, scissors, hole puncher, glue, and string

  1. Start by cutting different shapes out of your cardboard
  2. Use a pencil to sketch an animals head onto a different piece of cardboard
  3. Cut along the sketched line
  4. Decorate and paint with Kwik Stix
  5. Glue the animal onto the shape from step 1
  6. Punch a hole into the main shape
  7. Place a string into the hole and hang!

Materials Needed: popsicle sticks, glue, Kwik Stix, and glitter

  1. Paint each popsicle stick with Kwik Stix (you will need 4 popsicle sticks for each snowflake)

  2. You will need 4 strips for each snowflake

Egg Carton Snowman

Materials Needed: empty egg carton, black and orange felt, Kwik Stix, small sticks, glue, scissors, and construction paper

  1. Paint the empty egg carton with Kwik Stix
  2. If needed, use a Q-tip to paint in the cracks 
  3. Cut out three small pieces of felt and glue onto the body of the snowman
  4. Glue on two small sticks to act as the arms
  5. Glue sticks onto the top of the snowman's head
  6. Cut a triangle out of the orange felt for the carrot nose
  7. Use construction paper to form the snowman's facial features (mouth, eyes, eyebrows)
  8. Paint a wintery background on paper with Kwik Stix
  9. Glue snowman onto the background

  1. Paint a plain white piece of paper with Kwik Stix to create a winter background
  2. Paint two popsicle sticks with Kwik Stix
  3. Cut out the penguins body with black construction paper
  4. Cut a smaller piece with white construction paper and glue in the middle of the black paper
  5. Add on eyes and nose

Tape Resistant Snowflake

Materials Needed: canvas, painters tape or washi tape, and Kwik Stix

  1. Lay tape onto the canvas
  2. Start with one piece down the middle horizontally
  3. Lay another piece down the middle vertically
  4. Place two pieces diagonally across the canvas
  5. Add small pieces of tape on each side to add dimension to the snowflake
  6. Use different shades of blue Kwik Stix and paint in no specific order
  7. Be sure to fill all the white spaces
  8. Peel off all the tape
  9. Hang up the canvas for a winter decoration

Penguins Fishing

Materials Needed: cardboard, Styrofoam, scissors, wire, newspaper, paintbrush, watercolor paint, Kwik Stix, Wonder Stix

  1. Cut cardboard into a circle
  2. Cut three small pieces of cardboard
  3. Cut three small pieces of cardboard into fish
  4. Rip small pieces of Styrofoam
  5. Paint newspaper with a watercolor paint
  6. Let dry
  7. Rip newspaper into strips and glue onto the circle piece of cardboard
  8. Paint the three small pieces of cardboard with Kwik Stix to look like a penguin
  9. Color the three small fish with Wonder Stix
  10. Glue Styrofoam onto the cardboard circle
  11. Glue the penguins to the wire
  12. Add any additional pieces such as small sticks or more icebergs

Snowman ABC Match

Materials Needed: construction paper, Kwik Stix, a marker, and small paper snowflake cutouts

  1. Paint a snowman with Kwik Stix onto the construction paper
  2. Write the alphabet onto the paper with a marker
  3. Write one letter on each snowflake cutout
  4. Match up onto the letters on the construction paper and glue down
  5. Fill the whole page when each letter is matched

  1. Lay flat a white piece of a paper
  2. Paint snowflakes with Metalix Kwik Stix

Snowflake Coffee Filter


Materials Needed: coffee filters, Magic Stix, spray bottle with water, and scissors

  1. Draw on the coffee filters with Magic Stix markers with shades of blue and purple
  2. Spray the coffee filters with water using a spray bottle
  3. Allow the coffee filters to dry
  4. Fold the coffee filter in half and fold the right side into the middle and fold the left side into the middle (It should look similar to a cone shape)
  5. In that shape, cut out shapes
  6. Open up the coffee filter and you will have your snowflake
