Q: Tell us a little about yourself! What is the inspiration behind your Instagram page?
I work full time as a Business Analyst for a telecommunications company and crafting and drawing has been my passion since I was a little girl. I have been sharing the crafts I do with my daughter on my personal Instagram page for a while. When the initial lockdown started and the kids were sent home from Daycares centers my friends started reaching out to share the activities we do more in a public setting. At first it became a good way for me to track what I do with my daughter who was 2 years old at the time to keep her busy and engaged. That's how we got the name Keepme_busy. Creating content and sharing what we do with other parents knowing that it would benefit them is quite fun and engaging. Now our Instagram Page has become my escape at the end of a busy working day.
Q: It has been so wonderful seeing the creativity in your posts each day and watching your page grow! What inspired you to want to be a Brand Ambassador?
We do a lot of activities around cardboard and paper. I love vibrant colors for activities with my daughter because it keeps her interested on what we do. We have tried different paints which is either too messy for my white carpets or doesn't reflect well on cardboard and different types of crayons which is too dull or gets all over on the fingers. When we bought our 1st Kwik Stix set on Amazon and tried I knew instantly that we found a brand we are going to love forever. Finding a brand that ticks all the boxes every parent dream of inspired me to become a Brand Ambassador.
Q: What is your favorite product of ours that you have tried? We would love to hear more about why you love this product, and if you have any tips or tricks when using it? Is there anything in particular that has helped you in incorporating science and art together?
We absolutely love Kwik Stix Tempera Paint Sticks. Its bright, smooth, easy for kiddos to use and dries really quickly. We love that you can still use a paint brush and some water to blend the colors. My tip for today is when u hit the bottom of a Kwik Stix do not throw it out. Use a paint brush and use it like watercolors. We made a life size cardboard cutout with colored internal organs and velcro dots which made her understand and remember over 10 internal organs at her age. Same with number and letter activities. We love to incorporate a little color with all our play ideas.
Q: What is one of your favorite projects you have created using our products? There are so many amazing ones you have posted, and we want to know which creation stands out to you!
They are all our favorites but the most favorite ones are the rocket ship and the leaf monsters.
Q: What’s next for you? Do you have plans for any activities or projects we can look forward to or anything in the works for the remainder of 2021 and into the New Year?
We have started a YouTube channel, TikTok and a Facebook page which are all yet to grow and surely need some love. We are working on some " how to create" videos and hopefully will be out by the New Year. We also have some fun Christmas activities lined up in the coming months so stay tuned.
