Q: Tell us a little about yourself! What is the inspiration behind your Instagram page?

My name is Katelyn. I am a teacher and a mom of three kids aged 17, 5 and 3. I started my page when my 5 year old was 1. We had been doing fun sensory activities and sharing them on our personal page and my friends and family encouraged me to start a page to post them on so I did!

Q: We have loved seeing your page grow, and all the amazing projects and activities you share, and we learn so much as you incorporate play based learning into your posts! What inspired you to want to be a Brand Ambassador?

I follow so many amazing pages and I had seen some of them post about mess free paint sticks! Well, I love messy activities but mess free? Who can beat that! I knew I needed to try them and when I did I fell in love! They are so easy for the kids and I to use and they are great for so many different projects and activities!

Q: What is your favorite product of ours that you have tried so far?  Can you tell us more about why you love this product, and if you have any tips or tricks when using it or favorite techniques? Is there anything in particular that has helped you blend creativity, play, and learning together with your children and any advice you can provide to others?

I am definitely a big fan of the paint stix but coming in a close second is the Wonderstix. I love using the Wonder Stix on a variety of surfaces. We have used them to colour tinfoil, windows, magnetic tiles and so much more! Being a teacher has helped me incorporate play into our learning but it wasn't until I had children of my own that I really started to explore learning through play. I now incorporate it into my classroom as well as our home life. The kids learn so much through simple activities that they love. Play keeps children engaged and it doesn't need to be extravagant! It can be as simple as pom poms and numbers written on paper! I try to show on my page that play doesn't need to be "Instagram worthy". It can be simple and messy and still be fun and meaningful!

Q: We love that you incorporate amazing videos of your activities on your page! What is one of your favorite projects you have created using our products? There have been so many great posts you have made, and we want to know which stands out to you!

It is so hard to pick just one but I really loved making a witches hat for my son out of cardboard, covering it in tinfoil and then allowing him to decorate it with Wonder Stix. It was an engaging activity that he did over and over again.

Q: What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting crafts or activities planned for the Spring months ahead?!

I don't plan many activities ahead of time. I roll with the punches and I see what my children are interested in. I do plan to decorate eggs for Easter and I hope to do a few more fun crafts and activities for Easter and spring!
